Cassandra C. Jones presents "The Pink of the Moment," a three-day pop-up art show in Ojai, CA, celebrating the color pink in vibrant and unexpected forms. A tight-knit group of local artists will showcase work that challenges traditional associations with the color, highlighting its versatility and power across various mediums and subjects.

Inspired by a conversation with the artist Christopher Noxon, who described pink as his "emotional support color," and further fueled by observations of its prominence in contemporary art and culture, this show explores pink's diversity. From sunset-laden landscapes to suspended sculptures and mystic manifestations to claymation in a closet, pink emerges as a unifying force, transcending gender stereotypes and embracing a spectrum of nuanced interpretations.

"The Pink of the Moment" invites viewers to explore a house as an immersive experience with art in every room. By showcasing the work of local artists who live in a place famous for the one moment a day when the sun hits the mountains just right and casts a pink glow over the city, this exhibition aims to bring together our community in honoring the allure of pink in modern times.
